The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has escalated its efforts against unauthorized buildings within the city. On Friday, the LDA carried out demolitions and sealed a number of illegal establishments.
Following directives from LDA’s Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the enforcement team targeted illegal constructions across various locales including Ferozepur Road, Johar Town, Nasheman Iqbal, and the Controlled Area.
The enforcement action led to the demolition of an unlawful commercial hall, service station, workshop, retail outlets, a two-story structure, and several other non-compliant buildings. Additionally, the LDA sealed off 25 shops during the operation.
The operation was meticulously supervised by Chief Town Planner II, Azhar Ali, Director Town Planning IV, and Director Town Planning VII. It was noted that the affected properties had been previously notified through several warnings before the crackdown ensued.
