Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan experienced a significant increase of over 65% in May 2024.
Sources report that exports to Afghanistan also grew by 9.1% in the first 11 months (July-May) of the fiscal year 2023-24 (FY24).
In May 2024, Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan reached $118 million, up from $71.3 million. For the 11-month period of FY24, exports amounted to $989 million, compared to $906 million in the same period of FY23.
Additionally, imports from Afghanistan decreased by 38% during 11MFY24, with imports totaling $516 million, down from $831 million in 11MFY23.
