In Nawabshah, a distressing incident unfolded when a landlord allegedly took drastic measures against a camel that had wandered into his field in Mund Jamrao village, Sanghar district, on Friday. The camel’s leg was reportedly severed as a punitive action for grazing on the landlord’s property.
Following widespread circulation of the incident on social media, Sanghar SSP promptly intervened and contacted the camel’s owner, Soomar Behan, who is described as a poor peasant.
Despite Behan’s reluctance to identify the culprit and press charges, law enforcement officials proceeded to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) on behalf of the state. The FIR was filed against unknown individuals under sections 429 (Mischief by killing or maiming cattle) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
